we are proud and full of prejudices...(und die bestätigen sich auch noch...!)
If you should ever have such a boring night like us (that you will hopefully never have), I proudly present to you the most excellent movie I´ve ever seen: Pride and prejudice! It keeps up with all prejudices… life in the 19th century in Britain was a Turkish cattle market! 5 squeaking and squealing girls longing to find the perfect (=rich and handsome) husband. Plus one schreckschrauben mother. Ok, I don´t want to bore you with more content. (=I´m sorry there is no more content) Oh, by the way: it takes 2 and a half hours. The landscape was nice, though. Lots of green. (according to sebastian´s reactions after it certainly was weed)
The fun came afterwards… clapping Americans and we burst out laughing…

Ich habe zwar keine Ahnung mit welch riesiger Erwartung ihr in diesen Film seid, aber wenn man halbwegs weiß in was für einen Film man sich setzt, wenn man Jane Austen kennt, wenn man weiß dass solche Filme die eben im ländlichen England um 1790 spielen,... dann wird man von dem Film nicht so sehr enttäuscht, wie ihr es wohl wart. Denke auch nicht, dass es unbedingt ein "Männerfilm" ist. Und natürlich sollte man die Dialoge auch verstehen.
Nun ja, meine Meinung.

Ich mag Stolz und Vorurteil, wobei ich nur die BBC Verfilmung für gut erachte, die Amis haben für solche Art Filme kein Gespür:-) Und die BBC Verfilmung ist 3,5h lang, wenn du wieder hier bist, kann ich sie dir mal ausleihen.
